Yorkshire band To The Strongest release debut EP

Hull-based pop punk band, To The Strongest, recently signed to Warkworth Music, have just released their self-titled debut EP after months of recordingFormed in February 2016, after the members Alex Bradshaw (vocals), Dana Schofield (guitar), Daniel Bartram (guitar), Adam Yull (bass) and Josh Peters (drums), had worked together on previous projects, To The Strongest spent a year writing and recording demos as well as crafting their style in order to stand out in their local, predominantly hardcore, music scene. To The Strongest were able to kick-start their onstage career when they played their first show as a band in Leeds and have been playing shows relentlessly in their home town ever since, which paid off early when they were given local support slots of ska legends, Sonic Boom Six, after only playing two shows, as well as landing a slot supporting Welsh band Holding Abscence. The reception they have so far received from their scene has been "overwhelming" which has helped them to continue working on their sound and become even stronger as a group.Graeme Costello, the founder of Warkworth Music, said; "We wanted to get them onboard with Warkworth because we saw a lot of potential in them and really wanted to help them progress."Their sound is inspired by the Hopeless Records type of pop-punk such as Trophy Eyes, The Wonder Years & Trash Boat, while also being influenced by the ‘older class’ of pop-punk, To The Strongest have built their sound around energetic on stage performances and catchy choruses. The band aims to capture the energy and melodic tones of pop-punk but at the same time take influence from their local hardcore scene all while writing honest and close to home lyrics that their fans could relate and take something from. The recording of the EP officially took place in the summer of 2017.If you want to listen to and buy their EP, check out their Bandcamp here.To The Strongest are going on tour in March, check out their dates here:
