Goth-rock supergroup, Beauty In Chaos, have released their latest single, The Balance of All Things, as part of their announcement of their upcoming album, The Storm Before The Calm.
Much like their acclaimed debut album, Finding Beauty In Chaos, they have worked with a range of vocalists that compliment the supergroup's sound, including Wayne Hussey of The Mission from Leeds.
Hussey, who had also featured on their debut album for Man of Faith and The Long Goodbye, features on the track.
As one can guess from the title, The Delicate Balance of All Things explores the juxtaposition of opposite things in life and how they can compliment each other despite the irony of them, like "the lies in truth" and "pain and pleasure".
Wayne Hussey's mesmerising vocals takes us on this journey and with the beautiful guitar composition, as well as the overall calm but uplifting emotion that the song gives off, we as the listener are able to feel everything that the lyrics describe.
One would stereotype with goth-rock as having loud, angry vocals and noise going through the hardships of life and being outwardly bitter, but Beauty In Chaos, as the name suggests, actually appreciates the wonders within the world and life despite the difficulties one may go through.
An actual representation of what the goth genre is: appearing dark on the outside but actually beautiful and wondrous within.
Beauty In Chaos is the brainchild of Michael Ciravolo, who was the guitarist of Human Drama for over 30 years and is also known as President of Schecter Guitar Research in Los Angeles.
Their upcoming album, The Storm Before The Calm, was recorded in Ciravolo's own recording studio, SAINTnLA Studio, and was produced with Michael Rozon who's work with Ministry received Grammy nominations.
Beauty In Chaos also put another single out, A Kind of Cruelty, this time featuring Curse Mackey.
While being a bit more lively in comparison to their previous single, the single still follows the theme of exploring the wonders within difficulties and how it can make you feel alive.
Michael Ciravolo said that he approached Curse Mackey to appear on the track after suggestions from friends: "I didn't think I knew him, but it turns out our paths had crossed in our 'other lives' in the musical instrument world."
"I thought his voice would be a great fit, and I especially liked his lyrical sense."
"We hit it off well and I really enjoyed working with him on this song and video, and I do look forward to involving him in future Beauty In Chaos."
Beauty In Chaos' album, The Storm Before The Calm, is out on 22nd May.
