Architects - For Those That Wish To Exist Review

Metalcore legends, Architects, have just put out their ninth studio album, a stunning release filled with a variety of headbangers and more ‘softer’ songs (well for Architects).

From the moment the album starts with intro ‘Do You Dream of Armageddon?’ until it ends on ‘Dying is Absolutely Safe’ an acoustic track backed by an orchestra, we are taken on a journey covering everything related to life, death and everything in between. With the philosophical questions asking about the existence of a God, an afterlife or life after death, we know that Architects are angry and won’t take anything lying down.

From the explosive ‘Black Lungs’ featuring the first lyric sung on the record; “Do you cross your heart when you hope to die?”, a perfect introduction to the album, the angry yet philosophical ‘Impermanence’ featuring fellow metalcore vocalist Winston McCall of Parkway Drive, to the softer electro-rock with ‘Flight Without Feathers’, there is not a single skippable track. And with the likes of Simon Neil (Biffy Clyro) and Mike Kerr (Royal Blood) also featuring on the record, what’s not to love?

A simply breathtaking album, nothing more needs to be said other than listen to it. Now!
