After a sixteen month delay, A Day To Remember have finally put out their seventh studio album. Now the question on everyone’s mind is whether the album has been worth the long wait, has it been worth the numerous release postponements? The answer: yes!
This album has everything classic A Day To Remember, their combination of pop-punk and hardcore/metalcore sound that can turn tracks from starting out as unassuming, simple songs to then becoming full blown headbangers that you can picture many a mosh pit and crowd surfer going insane at. We’re looking at you 'Brick Wall' and 'Bloodsucker'.
Yet at the same time we can see personal growth as the members have gone through personal achievements and hardships behind the scenes, such as with 'Only Money' and 'Everything We Need'. It’s not as angry and intense as previous releases but that’s not to say that it’s all happiness and rainbows. There’s plenty of tongue-in-cheek, “fuck you” tracks such as 'F.Y.M', and questioning of reality tracks like 'Permanent' that will probably result you lying awake at 3am with the song playing on repeat.
This is everything that ADTR fans have hoped for and more. An album full of headbangers, emotionally-charged songs and everything in between. One hundred percent worth the wait.
